There were a lot of well-thought-out details implemented during this project to enhance user experience. During visual design stage I created colour-coded listings where each type of property had a colour assigned to it. This colour then carried through to the single property page, helping user visually separate various listings on the website.
Another great design and functionality piece of this project are custom maps. Their purpose is to help user explore neighbourhoods and proximity to various amenities in each Ottawa community where Valecraft is building homes.
Enhancing Community Pages
After studying the data from Google Analytics we noticed that the highest amount of conversions was happening on community pages – users were “shopping” by the neighbourhood. So, one of the main tasks during this project was enhancing the look and navigation of community pages. In addition to existing and new content we added more imagery, custom amenities maps, quick contact info, and a clear separation between move-in-soon homes, model homes and regular listings.
